North Central Regional Library is launching a summer virtual author series for adults that features four authors. The NCRL Reads Virtual Author Series is in lieu of the usual community reading program, NCRL Reads, that invites the community to read the same book and then the author visits branches.

"We've been trying to think how we can translate that to a virtual platform in the COVID-19 pandemic," said Amanda Brack, adult services manager. "And really leverage it to bring people together and find a way to connect even while we're physically apart."

Authors, Noé Alvarez, Kristin Hannah, Blake Crouch, and Peter Heller will be holding Zoom webinars over the course of the summer.

"We'll be able to interact through chat, patrons can post questions and we all listen to them present and hear them answer live," said Brack.

Folks can register for the author series on NCRL's website.
