The Washington State Department of Natural Resources is implementing new burn restrictions beginning June 5th.

DNR Officials increased fire danger from low to moderate in the Chelan, Methow, both Yakima regions and the Upper Basin.

It was increased to high in the Lower Basin Fire Danger Rating Area.

No burning is permitted on DNR land in those areas, not even small debris disposal, or rule burning, fires.

Campfires are permitted in designated campgrounds, though you should ask the host before lighting one.
