Local Author Teri Fink's new book "The Clovis Dig" explores the Clovis Cache find in East Wenatchee in the late 1980's through a fictional lens.

"The story is an orchard owner, a very strong woman named Claire Courtney, has an orchard in kind of financial straights when these Clovis Points are uncovered."

Courtney then partners with a rookie archaeologist from Washington State University and a Clovis expert from back east before a shocking discovery changes everything.

Fink grew up in Wenatchee, was a librarian for Eastmont High School and communications officer for the Wenatchee School District. She previously wrote "Invisible by Day" after retiring to pursue a career as a novelist.

Fink added that there was plenty of conflict in the actual dig to spark her imagination, including protests by Native Americans. She also credited the Icicle Creek Center for the Arts' "The Winter's Tale" film project for providing further details about local Native American culture. "The Clovis Cache" can be found at Barnes & Noble, Amazon, Apple, Kobo and other retailers.
