Governor Jay Inslee has released new safety requirements for airports in Washington in an effort the stem the growth of the Coronavirus.

"Today's guidance will require face coverings in all parts of the airport where we have which is basically upstream of the security gate. That's basically anywhere where the public can be upstream of the TSA security line."

Social distancing signs and hand sanitizer stations will also be put throughout the airports.

Inslee further says, "We've also encouraged airlines to include health screening questionnaires for passengers regarding COVID exposure for symptoms and require passengers to abide by face covering and physical distancing requirements in order to get a boarding pass. I'm pleased to say that most airlines are doing that."

Delta Airlines says it will launch a program at Sea-Tac Airport, where passenger temperature screenings would take place.
