4th District Representative Dan Newhouse is among many House members eagerly awaiting an analysis by the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) of President Biden's $1.75 trillion Build Back Better Act.

Newhouse stated that the legislation will put our country in a different direction socially for years to come, so it's important that Congress gets the information it needs to make the right decision. He had been asking for the CBO analysis and said taking a look at the legislation's impacts is the fiscally responsible thing to do because every American deserves to know the cost of the extra debt they will be shouldering.

"The Congressional Budget Office provides in-depth analysis of not only costs today, but costs into the future and the impact this will have on taxpayers and inflation," explained Newhouse.

While Republicans have been calling for an analysis for weeks, nothing happened until a group of moderate House Democrats demanded that the CBO check the bill's numbers before they gave their approval.

The analysis is expected Friday.
