4th District Representative Dan Newhouse is quick to criticize the Biden Administration's pull out of Afghanistan, calling it one of the worst executive actions he's seen in the last several decades.

Congressman Newhouse said the United State's number one focus should be getting Americans and our allies out of the country.

"When that's accomplished, we have to hold people accountable for what has happened, from the president all the way down." stated Newhouse, "But I don't want to do anything today that detracts from our primary goal of extricating people and getting them out of harm's way."

President Joe Biden meanwhile is defending his administration's handling of the Afghanistan pullout, saying a quick evacuation is preferable to any other strategy.

Biden said he is willing to send more personnel and resources to the airport, but his commanders have assured him they have what they need.

"We will continue after the troops have withdrawn to find means by which we can find any American who wishes to get out of Afghanistan. We will find them and we will get them out," stated Biden.

A suicide bombing at the Kabul Airport Thursday left 13 U.S. service members dead, 18 more wounded, and killed at least 95 Afghans.

Biden added that U.S. intelligence has reason to believe they know who are responsible for Thursday's suicide bombing near a gate at the Kabul Airport.
