Sunshine and warmer, drier weather this weekend will bring the threat of flooding  to the area.  The National Weather Service has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for most of Central and Eastern Washington for localized flooding.  The Wenatchee and Moses Lake areas, Columbia Basin, Waterville Plateau, Okanogan Valley and East Slopes of the Northern Cascades are included in the Outlook

The Weather Service reports the combination of recent rain and snow as well as warmer temperatures could lead to localized flooding issues due to melting snow and runoff.

Next week's computer models suggest another atmospheric river will spread potentially heavy rain and mountain snow across the region on Wednesday.

The National Weather Service has issued flood watches for counties near the Washington-Idaho border.  The flood watches include the cities of Spokane, Pullman and Colfax because of rapidly melting snow.

A flood watch means there is the potential for flooding.
