Numerica Credit Union is accepting applications for its 2020 scholarship funds which has been expanded from $30,000 in 2019 to $45,000. Numerica offers four different scholarships: Student Ambassador scholarships, Continuing Education scholarships, Vocational scholarships and Student Loan Repayment scholarships.

"We feel that the best way to help our members enhance their lives and to fulfill their dreams, is to help them reach their educational goals," said Chelsea Maguire, communications producer.

Applications for three of the scholarships are accepted until May 10. The exception is the student loan repayment scholarship which opens in the fall.

"Student loans can be a major weight on a lot of people. This is one way we can help them early on," said Maguire.

Student Ambassador scholarships are available to community involved high school seniors. Continuing Education scholarships are for full time employed college students while working toward an Associates, Bachelor's, or Master's degree. Vocational scholarships are for students entering a trade or vocational school. The Student Loan Repayment scholarships are for those that have completed a degree and need help reducing their debt load.
