Okanogan County Firefighter’s Memorial Thursday

The memorial services for Okanogan County Firefighter Christian Johnson takes place Thursday at the Okanogan County Fairgrounds Agriplex.

The ceremony is expected to last about an hour and 20 minutes, beginning at 1:00 p.m.

Before the services, there will be a procession that begins at the Agriplex, goes North to Omak where it crosses the river and then goes south through Okanogan before returning to the Agriplex.

Parking will be available but attendees are encourage to carpool.

Johnson passed away earlier this month after suffering second- and third-degree burns over more than half his body fighting the Spring Coulee Fire over Labor Day weekend.
