Okanogan County’s First Pet Crematory Opens Its Doors

Okanogan County had its first ever pet crematory, North Central WA Pet Cremation of Okanogan, open in late November and though it's the first of its kind in the area, owner Glenn Graves isn't new at the profession. In his past work experience at a funeral home and crematory, he received many requests to open a pet crematory locally.

"Meeting with people for cremation arrangements and burial arrangements, I got a lot of requests of people asking if I could cremate their pets," said Graves. "Up until now, I couldn't accommodate them, because it requires completely separate equipment for pets."

Before this facility opened, folks had to transport pets to Wenatchee or Spokane for this service. The facility offers pickup from vets, a drop off location is also available by appointment and the promise of fast turn around on services.
