Omak is the latest North Central Washington school district to make changes because of a staff shortage from COVID-19

The district is moving 6 through 12 grade classes online for the rest of the week because of the shortage.

Meals for the same group are being made available for pickup at the high school cafeteria during the morning hours.

The Omak district is leaving in-person classes in place for K-through-5 grade classes, but a special school board meeting is being rescheduled for next month. The board meeting on student discipline is delayed until Feb. 15, and will take place in the high school library,

Omak schools also announced Tuesday morning that it was working with the North Central Educational Service District on an internet outage that was also affecting other districts in the area.
