Orondo Fire Department Announces the Addition of Two Firefighter Grads
Two Orondo firefighters, Scott Poirier and Jonathan Goettling, completed firefighting school and recently took the oath along with receiving department badges.
"Firefighting school is a complex, 18 day school consisting of structure fire training, including textbook and live fire training, hands on nozzle work, ventilation and firefighting skills," said Chief Jim Oatey.
Poirier is a retired school superintendent and Goettling has recently moved to the area.
The firefighting school was conducted in conjunction with Chelan County Fire District 1.
