Othello Police Ask for Public Help to Find Man Accused of Assaulting 10-Year-Old Girl

Othello Police are asking for public help to find the person they say assaulted 10-year-old girl who was heading to school on a scooter Wednesday morning.

Officers say the girl was pushed to the ground by an older man on a longboard who was walking a German Sheppard.

The man was described as being 5-09 with a medium build, and was wearing a black hat, black neck gator and a black long sleeve top. 

Othello Police are asking people with video surveillance cameras in the area near Wahitis Elementary School to contact them.

Officers say the assault took place Wednesday before 10 a.m. on Cypress St. from 14th avenue. The suspect was last seen heading west on Cypress St.
