Out of Control Burn Destroys Ephrata Trailer

Grant County Fire District 13 and Ephrata Fire crews say an out of control burn destroyed a trailer Monday in the Rimrock Meadows area.

In a Facebook post, crews discovered a demolished camp trailer upon arrival and a wildfire that was roughly a half-acre in size and threatened a home.

They say the cause was a controlled burn that was pushed by winds.

They are reminding homeowners to avoid burning if there is windy conditions.

The fire was initially contained by the local Rimrock community fire crews.
