A pedestrian is dead from an accident with a car in Ephrata earlier this month.

Sixty-three-year-old Rubio Angel was walking near a bike lane northbound along D Street NE in Ephrata at around 11 am on November 7, when a SUV driven by 84-year-old Martha Devine drifted into the bike lane and struck Angel.

He was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, where he died from his injuries on Wednesday, more than two weeks after the accident.

Troopers have classified the cause of the accident as inattention. Drugs or alcohol were not involved, according to Washington State Patrol.

No charges have been brought against Devine. She was driving a 2011 Chevy Equinox at the time of the accident. Both the SUV and Angel were headed northbound on D Street NE approaching 2nd Avenue when the accident occurred.
