Quincy Opts to Keep Pool Closed Due to COVID-19 Challenges

The city of Quincy has decided to keep the Quincy pool closed for the season. Due to the sanitation and social distancing requirements for Phase 3 opening the pool for summer 2020 isn't feasible.

Recreation director, Russ Harrington, stated in a press release: “While it is not a popular decision to close the pool. We will instead focus our energies on summer youth programs, improving our park amenities and working on our fall programs for the community."

Once the county has entered Phase 3, the city will reopen its playground equipment, fields, restrooms and other park amenities and activities.
