Quincy Police Investigating Another Sunday Shooting

Quincy Police are investigating a shooting in the area of 3rd Ave SW between Q & R Streets.

Initial reports indicated two vehicles driving at a high rate of speed, with one appearing to be chasing the other. Neither vehicle was at the scene, but several casings were discovered.

A second report of gunshots came in from the area of the 600 block of F St. More casings were found there.

The victim contacted police saying he was uninjured, but had several bullet holes in his vehicle.

Captain Ryan Green says the victim used to be in a gang but had straightened his life out and was out. Captain Green says it's possible this was a retaliation shooting for an incident from the previous weekend.

They are looking for a late model, white Chevy truck.
