Quincy Recreation is looking for input from residents via survey to craft the Master Parks Plan, which hasn't been updated in a number of years. The survey is online accessible given COVID-19 social distancing guidelines and is a tool to gauge folks' ideas about the future of the parks.

"The community has changed a lot since a Master Parks Plan was done," said Russ Harrington, recreation director. "So we're just trying to get new community involvement as what people would like to see."

The survey will give residents an avenue to weigh in on features such as walking trails, bike parks, pump tracks and more picnic tables.

"The town's growing differently so we do need to find a park in a new section of town that's got more community neighborhoods popping up," said Harrington.

The Master Parks Plan will be used to look for grant funding for major upgrades in some city parks as well as building a community recreation center.
