The Red Apple Fire management has been passed to federal and state run Management Team for fire response and the outlook is positive as efforts continue. Fire personnel are focused on tying containment lines together Friday.

"I can never 100% accurately predict when it will be totally contained, but I've got a really positive outlook this morning," said Ryan Rodruck, public information officer. "We're not totally out of the woods yet, but all signs point to some pretty positive outcomes coming our way."

According to Rodruck, fire personnel have been concentrated the east and west flanks of the fires. The east side of the fire is north of Swakane Canyon and the west is near the Warner Canyon area.

"There are a few level 2 and just one level 3 evacuation zones left," said Rodruck. "Yesterday (Thursday) we were able to reduce a lot of those level 3 evacuations back into level 2."

No primary residences have been lost in the Red Apple Fire as of Friday morning and Rodruck credits that to the firefighters' emphasis on structure protection.
