The Red Apple Fire near Wenatchee is now at 4,000 acres and climbing.

It's set to be managed by a joint federal and Washington State team, which will arrive tomorrow [[ Thursday ]] evening at six.

The Central Washington Interagency Communication Center is urging people to stay away from the area that stretches from Monitor and Sunnyslope over Burch Mountain Road, as well as into Swakane Canyon toward Highway 97A.

CWICC is also asking that people don't fly drones in the area because of heavy response to the fire is coming from planes and helicopters.

No houses or businesses have been damaged by the fire, but much of the area is under a Level 3 Immediately Evacuate alert.
