A town hall meeting Monday drew a standing room only crowd of several hundred despite the absence of 8th District Congressman Dave Reichert.

Reichert recently told the Seattle Times that forums have become chaotic and non-productive, shouting matches.

One of Monday's forum organizers, Mission Indivisible co-founder Joe Morrison, says Reichert has now agreed to a one hour meeting with members of his group in Wenatchee on March 3rd, but under strict guidelines and without reporters present.

The Wenatchee visit is confirmed by Reichert's Wenatchee staffer, Tyler MacKay.

Morrison said Reichert has opposed the Affordable Care Act so the Monday forum at Cashmere's Riverside Center focused on health care and featured a presentation from the Governor's top health care advisor, Dr. Robert Crittenden on the effects of repealing the ACA. Many in the crowd spoke about their fears of losing coverage.  The event was videotaped and posted on the group's facebook page.

Congressman Reichert will be answering questions posed by Seattle PBS station host Enrique Cerna during a Facebook Live at 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 23.  Here is the link to KCTS Facebook page
