Senate Republicans say on the whole, they agree with the stay at home order, but are worried that it is too restrictive on some of the private sectors.

Senate Minority Leader Mark Schoesler says banning residential construction while allowing government projects to continue doesn’t make sense and hurts the economy.

"What we have is a very inconsistent approach to construction. Some construction is good, some bad even though in many cases they could be the same workers in the same community. Working on a public project; good. Working private sector; bad."

Senate Republican Caucus Chair Randi Becker is glad medical resources are being properly allocated, but she doesn’t agree with a blanket ban on elective surgery.

Both say they want compassionate policies that address the whole aspects of people and their communities.
