The Court Appointed Special Advocates, or CASA, program is holding their annual Rock n’ Rowl bowling fundraiser. Kenzie Conley says the event helps them help kids.
“We provide volunteer advocates to every child in the foster care system and so the money raised from Rock n’ Rowl helps support the internal staff and also helps support our volunteers when they do things like travel out of town, mileage reimbursement, hotels, any program expenses we have.”
Teams of five will raise money through donations for CASA with prizes for the top fundraisers.
Heather Baker says it’s a very festive environment.
“I think it’s a great event. The PUD puts teams together and they come and bowl all at the same time and some of them dress up in costumes which is really fun. They’ve dressed up as superheroes, they did plumber costumes. It’s really funny.”
Registration is due by February 15th, with the fundraiser on the 23rd, and can be done online at CDCASA.org.
