Senator Cantwell Announces Wenatchee Valley Housing Grants

Senator Maria Cantwell announced Wednesday that Wenatchee and East Wenatchee will be receiving new housing grants.

Wenatchee will receive $238,184 and East Wenatchee will get over $135,695 in federal grant money from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development's Community Development Block Grant program.

In a press release, Cantwell said the funding will help expand economic opportunities and provide safe and affordable housing for low and moderate income individuals in Wenatchee and East Wenatchee. The program helps support home ownership, housing rehabilitation, infrastructure, public improvements, and economic development projects in communities throughout the country.
