A 59-year-old Quincy man led Soap Lake Police on a nearly 20-mile chase in which speeds exceeded 120 MPH at times.

Officers attempted to pull Robert Sharp over near Daisy St. and 2nd Ave after he failed to stop and signal at an intersection. The Department says Sharp drove through parking lots and on streets before leaving town on Road 20 NE. He would eventually leave that road to get on dirt roads to get to Highway 28.

Sharp eventually lost control of the vehicle and it hit a power pole and a concrete barrier near Wilson Creek.

According to SLPD: Sharp was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence (methampteamine), driving while license suspended 3rd degree, failure to have ignition interlock, and having a valid felony warrant for his arrest.
