A Special Response Team was required to bring in an East Wenatchee resident after multiple reports of gunshots early Saturday morning in the 1800 block of Sunset Highway.

East Wenatchee Detective Brandon Johnson said after police and a couple of Douglas County Sheriff's Office units arrived on scene, they spoke to a male and female who rent from the location. The two were ultimately uncooperative, with one of the individuals being related to the suspect.

It was then law enforcement tried to convince 57-year-old Pacomio Anguiano-Santana to leave the residence voluntarily. He did not respond, despite warnings.

"We ended up securing the residence and seeking a warrant." said Johnson, "After we obtained the warrant, an evaluation was done and a Special Response Team was called due to the nature of the call."

The team used a flash bang and tear gas to eventually force Anguiano-Santana's surrender. A search of the residence produced one loaded firearm and spent casings.

The investigation is ongoing and charges are expected.
