The Washington State Department of Licensing is temporarily closing down all driver-license lobbies, beginning Tuesday.

The move is in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, forcing a cancellation of all current and future appointments.

It also means the DOL is relaxing some of the requirements to allow for more online renewals … while the mail-in option remains in place.

The U-S Department of Homeland Security has also extended the deadline to become REAL ID compliant until October 1st of NEXT year.
