North Cascades Lodge at Stehekin and National Park Service partners announced the suspension of transportation services as a result of the pandemic. Due to the CDC guidelines for shared housing, it made bringing on a certain number of employees difficult.

"Their staff is reduced by over 50% from last year so as a result, some of the services they'd normally provide, they don't have the capacity to be able to do so," said Denise Shultz, chief of visitor services.

Overnight lodging and take-out food service, limited retail, and fuel at the marina will continue to be available for all park visitors.
