Steven's Pass Ski Resort is well known amongst both locals and tourists that enjoy snowy recreation and this Thursday, the snow sports powerhouse is offering folks an opportunity to own a piece of the company and take home tangible memories. Double and triple seaters chairs from the Brooks and Daisy chairlifts are available for the first 144 guests to register for purchase with a limit for one chair per customer.

"We had a unique opportunity to replace the Brooks chair lift and Daisy chair lift," said Tom Pettigrew, general manager. "Those chairs were some of our older chairs here at the resort. Clearly a lot of people who are patrons of Steven's Pass have attached some memories to those chairs over the years."

The Brooks and Daisy chairlifts are being replaced with an upgrade of more modern quad lifts for this upcoming winter 2019-2020 season to increase lift capacity and serve under-utilized terrain as part of the capital investment in the resort last year.

The resort wanted to find a way to maximize the disposal of the chairs - and did so by offering people the chance to preserve former memories and also by giving back to the community. The funds are turned over to Upper Valley Mend, Outdoors for All and EpicPromise Employee Foundation.

"We're excited to be able to continue to help Mend, they've been a long time partner of Steven's Pass. We're excited also to be able to help Outdoors for All and continue our involvement with the community," said Pettigrew.

Chairs are $300 and registration to opt in to buy opens at 9 a.m. for those interested in toting a segment of Steven's Pass home. Chair pick up is 9 a.m. next Sunday, September 29 in lot 3 and chairs must be collected by 3 p.m.

"We do believe that the registration for the chairs will go relatively quickly," said Pettigrew.
