Teen Shoots Flare Gun, Results in High Risk Traffic Stop
Three teenagers are being charged with drive by shooting.
Moses Lake police responded to a shots fired call near Knolls Vista Elementary at about 6:40 p.m. Saturday. A black vehicle, with three teenagers as the occupants, had reportedly shot at a white vehicle.
"Officers located a suspect vehicle and made a felony traffic stop because a weapon was involved and a call of somebody shooting out of the vehicle," said Chief Kevin Fuhr. "Inside the vehicle were three teenagers. Two males and a female, all that were minors. A 16 year old and two 17 year olds."
Through an investigation along with a statement from the victim, the person who allegedly shot the weapon, which was a flare gun, was identified.
One juvenile was taken to Grant County Juvenile Detention, the other two released to their parents. However, all three are still being charged.
