The Washington State Library Offers CARES Library & Museum Funding
The Washington State Library (WSL) is accepting grant applications for funding allocated from the CARES Act for libraries and museums COVID-19 response efforts. The state library received $688,000 to distribute to public and tribal libraries and museums which is a portion of the $50 million CARES Act funding to the Institute of Museum and Library Services. Libraries and museums can apply for grant funding for a variety of resources such as personal protective equipment and Wi-Fi hotspots. Grants can also be awarded for up to $3,000 to cover COVID-19 outreach. The COVID-19 outreach grants would provide funding for new programming such as computer programs, job search support and summer reading.
Applications are open until July 31 or until funding is exhausted.
