The Wenatchee Women's March drew an enthusiastic crowd of several hundred to the Numerica Performing Arts Center Saturday to hear a large roster of speakers on topics ranging from immigration rights to reproductive freedom and climate justice.  It was a diverse panel of speakers but the common theme was defeating Donald Trump in 2020.  Keynote speaker Attorney General Bob Ferguson drew huge applause with his comments about why he has sued the Trump Administration 54 times.  "Those are fair questions but I think it's also a fair question to ask the Administration why are they spending tax payer dollars rolling out illegal, unconstitutional, immoral executive orders that are cut down in court 24 straight times.  Ask that question, too"

Terry Sloan helped organize the event, Wenatchee's third Women's Rally  "We worked really hard on achieving diversity in our speakers because I think that's something that  we really need to be more aware of is that there is more than just one certain population here.  We have many and we need to be receptive and welcoming to all"

It was the second consecutive year Ferguson has been able to attend the Wenatchee rally, timing the event with a visit to close family friends in the area. "Activism is important. Whatever your views are politically, right, left or right down the middle" Ferguson said .  "The issues are important, people care about them and that's why I'm here to support people who came out on a chilly day to express their views about what's going on in the country"

After the speeches and remarks, most of the crowd and many carrying signs marched a one-mile route in downtown Wenatchee along Mission Street and Chelan Avenue.
