A three-car accident blocked eastbound Highway 2 just east of Cashmere for about three hours Thursday evening and one person was flown to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.

Washington State Patrol Trooper Jeremy Weber says the incident happened around 4:15 when a Dodge truck driven by a 60-year-old Leavenworth woman was traveling westbound.

"And was witnessed going into the next lane, or lane 2, and instead of securing that lane, crossed all the way over into the oncoming traffic of the eastbound side just before the jersey barrier at milepost 113 just out of Cashmere."

The truck struck two vehicles traveling in the opposite direction.

The Leavenworth woman was taken to Central Washington Hospital before being airlifted to Harborview.

A Bellevue couple was taken to Central Washington Hospital while a Cashmere was uninjured.

None of the injured people's status is known.

The incident is under investigation.
