A three part virtual workshop, The North Start Opportunity Zone Community Workshop, is being offered July 14 through the 16. The workshop is geared toward the North Start Opportunity Zone, which includes Chelan, Douglas, Okanogan and Ferry county and the Colville Tribes.

"Anyone in the community that looks at investing in development projects or supporting the local economy, anybody that is on the planning side, transportation, real estate should look at attending," said Brooklyn Holton, city of Wenatchee Community Planner.

The workshop will center around finance and approaching strategic development. Topics include public and private financing options available and how to align with established community goals through policies and grassroot efforts.

"Even if a community member isn't in a designated opportunity zone, they could still definitely benefit by learning how to present the project to investors, or just learning about public sector resources," said Holton.

For folks interested in attending the workshops, the RSVP can be found here.
