A man is dead after a shooting Saturday just before 3:00 pm in the 1300 block of West Marina Drive in Moses Lake.

Chief Kevin Fuhr said officers found the victim, 24-year-old Radel P. Llamas Jr. of Moses Lake, in a nearby tattoo parlor with a gunshot wound to his abdomen.

"He was transported to Samaritan Hospital." explained Fuhr, "A detective went to Samaritan attempting to obtain information from the victim. Unfortunately, he was rushed into surgery where he passed away."

Investigators currently don't have a suspect or motive.

Llamas' vehicle is being searched for evidence and police are also reviewing nearby surveillance footage.

Meanwhile, a Moses Lake woman is uninjured after she shot a suspected car thief who had broken into her home early Monday morning.

The incident began when Grant County Sheriff's Deputies spotted a stolen car near Wheeler Road Sunday night, but the driver sped away. Fuhr stated that deputies terminated their pursuit because of Washington State's new policing laws.

Moses Lake police then found the vehicle unoccupied in the 1400 block of Cougar Drive.

"As they were setting up a perimeter to try to locate the driver, a 9-1-1 call came in where a homeowner reported that somebody had broken into her house and she shot the individual," continued Fuhr.

The unnamed suspect then came out of the house was was transported to Samaritan Hospital for non-life threatening injuries. Charges are pending.

Finally, Moses Lake Police are investigating a drive-by shooting in the 2000 block of West Peninsula Drive Sunday morning around 7:40 am.

After multiple calls of shots fired officers arrived at the scene to find several shell casings in the road.

"They also located several vehicles in the area that had been shot and had damage to them." added Fuhr, "They have video surveillance from surrounding residences."

Police haven't released the names of any suspects, but are searching for a red Chrysler PT Cruiser and a white Mercedes C Class seen in the video.

No homes were damaged and there were no injuries.
