The Washington State chapter of the Alzheimer's Association is hosting an informative town hall meeting on November 12 from 1-2:15 at the Aging and Adult Care of Central Washington facility. The meeting will feature local panelists to discuss federal and state policies that impact people with memory loss such as Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia.

"One of the ways that we're moving the needle on Alzheimer's research is through our advocacy efforts with the federal government and trying to get them increase funding for the disease so that it's more on par with other diseases like cancer, heart disease, HIV Aids, so that we can found a cure," said Carrie McBride, communications director.

The town hall meeting will illustrate the efforts that are being funneled into federal and state polices along with hearing the panelists weigh in as well. There will be a brief presentation along with a Q&A session to tie up the seminar.
