About 700 Rock Island residences lost power Thursday morning for about 15 minutes after a train hit a semi-truck near Rock Island Dam.

Douglas County Sheriff Kevin Morris says a semi-truck and trailer was leaving the Dam across the tracks.

"As he was crossing the arms started to come down and it stated to trap him. He tried to maneuver around those arms and the train ended up catching the very back of the trailer and pushed it into a power box."

There were no injuries, spills or fires.

The investigation is being headed by Burlington-Northern Santa Fe.
