Traveling Podiatrist Will be Stationed at Cascade Medical

Cascade Medical has expanded its team with a mobile podiatrist, Dr. Kevin Morris, from Foot and Ankle Clinic of Wenatchee. Dr. Morris, the nomad-esque practitioner, travels to rural areas like Chelan and Quincy to provide foot and ankle services, but soon will be stationed every other week at Cascade Medical's Family Practice Clinic.

"Dr. Morris approached us about setting up shop at the clinic in Leavenworth every other week," said Rachel Hansen, public relations coordinator for Cascade Medical. "And really the benefit is, it saves them a drive into Wenatchee, which is a big deal when you have mobility issues."

Dr. Morris has 25 years under his belt and has treated over 1,800 patients from the Upper Valley, including hundreds of Cashmere and Leavenworth residents. He's treated problems relating to diabetic complications, skin and nail deformities and podiatric sports medicine.

"What we're hearing from patients is that he's a great listener, he investigates the root cause of the problem and he's good about educating people about their condition," said Hansen.

Foot and Ankle will handle billing and scheduling for the Cascade Medical base, however related tests such as CT scans or rehabilitation therapy will be managed through Cascade Medical.
