A warming center for the homeless in Grant County will be closing for the season as of 6:00 a.m. Wednesday morning, March 1st

The center has been open nightly since December 1st, 2016, providing a place to warm up and receive a hot meal.

The Warming Center located in a former Boys & Girls Club on West 3rd Avenue in Moses Lake was staffed by volunteers from area churches and served an average of 20 individuals each night. Other volunteers provided provided cleaning and management services.

The Homeless Task force will begin planning soon for the 2017-18 winter season operations.
