Thursday is National Nurses Day, and a recent study suggests that the Evergreen State is one of the best locations for nurses across the country.

According to a study by personal finance website WalletHub, Washington was ranked as the 2nd best state for nurses, behind only Arizona. WalletHub compared the relative market attractiveness for nurses in all 50 states across 22 key metrics. Washington ranked 6th in Work Environment and 7th in Opportunity and Competitiveness.

Overall the Pacific Northwest made a good showing, with Oregon ranked 7th best and Idaho coming in at #17.
