The latest round of Washington State COVID-19 Immigrant Relief Fund assistance is open for applications now through May 21st.

Governor Jay Inslee said Thursday that the legislature approved an additional $65 million in funds this year. Inslee had previously freed up $62.6 million for the fund in 2020.

"These are hard working folks who are paying their taxes and I'm glad we've been able to extend a hand during this pandemic," stated Inslee.

The assistance will help an estimated 60,000 people.

Applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis, prioritizing those according to need. Applicants must be at least 18 and have proof of Washington State residency. They also must have an income at or below 250% of the federal poverty level.
