Wenatchee Mayor Frank Kuntz Releases Statement on Recent Protests

Wenatchee Mayor Frank Kuntz released a statement Wednesday in response to recent protests in town.

He thanked the protestors, police department and to Chief Steve Crown for an uneventful march.

He also said that the people who attended with an intent to intimidate and create conflict did not reflect the values of the Wenatchee community.

Kuntz says the city was shaped by people of diverse origins and encouraged all residents to connect with each other in constructive collaboration.

Another protest and march are planned for Saturday, June 27th in combination with Pride Wenatchee.
