After a 36 year old Yakima man was found bleeding, and later died from his wounds, on the 600 block of Idaho Street Wednesday afternoon, a man arrived at Central Washington Hospital with a gunshot wound.

According to Captain Edgar Reinfeld the man, Shane Hagen, claimed it was self inflicted and invoked his Miranda rights and declined to answer questions, however witnesses helped police identify Hagen as a prime suspect.

Hagen was booked in Chelan County Jail for 2nd degree murder. Further investigation led police to another suspect, Brendyn Ripper, and detectives put out an attempt to locate message. Ripper turned himself in Sunday.

The deceased man was Jesus Manuel Garcia.

The investigation is ongoing.

Multiple law enforcement agencies were called to reports of a man bleeding on the 600 block of Idaho St. in Wenatchee Wednesday afternoon.

Wenatchee Police Captain Edgar Reinfeld says emergency responders found a 36-year-old in front of an apartment complex.

"They extricated him, charged up and grabbed him, moving him to the sidewalk and aid. He was then moved a couple houses down. He was declared deceased immediately. He had died of his wounds."

No further information about the victim will be released until next of kin is notified.

Captain Reinfeld says detectives were on the scene for several hours.

"We have recovered a lot of information, talked to a lot of people, recovered quite a bit of relevant evidence in the case. We're continuing to work it and will be doing so for some time. The request to stay out of the neighborhood has been lifted. There's no work on the scene today. There are also no streets closed related to the investigation."

Reinfeld says a person of interest checked themselves into the hospital a short time later and they are waiting until the are given clearance from a health perspective to book them.
