Lieutenant Governor Cyrus Habib will speak at Wenatchee Rotary's weekly noon meeting Thursday, September 26 at the Red Lion Hotel.

A former member of the Washington State House of Representatives and Senate, Mr. Habib became the first Iranian-American to hold state office at age 35. His duties include serving as Acting Governor when Gov. Jay Inslee is out of state and President of the Washington State Senate. He is also co-chair of the Democratic Lt. Governors’ Association.

Mr. Habib is a three-time cancer survivor. At age 8 cancer stole his vision and he has been fully blind ever since.

The meeting is open to public, including members of the media. There is no admission fee, however, those who wish to do so may purchase a buffet lunch for $15 per plate. For more information, go to wenatcheerotary.org.
