Classes begin August 25th in the Wenatchee School District with full-time, in-person instruction.

Communications Manager Diana Haglund says all the relevant information for students and their families is on the District's website.

"One of the biggest changes this year is that we will be requiring masks for all students and staff while they're in our buildings. Just being aware of that is really important."

There will be exceptions for health reasons.

There will be other mitigation strategies including cleaning and hygiene measures, along with distancing.

Haglund says parents can find out more about the school year in the days leading up to the start.

"Back to school nights are going to look a little bit different this time around. Our events are going to be hosted outside and be a social environment where parents and students can meet their teachers and learn a little bit more about what school is going to look like this year, and build those relationships."

The District has a re-opening FAQ on their website.
