Woman Arrested After Police Say Sexually Explicit Photos of Girl Were Found Inside Eastmont Junior High School

A 47-year-old woman will appear in court later this month after being accused of distributing sexually explicit photos of an underage girl at Eastmont Junior High School.

East Wenatchee Police say Amanda Sue Austin and her juvenile daughter distributed nude photos of a former friend of the daughter around the school, including in bathrooms on March 21.

Video surveillance footage shows the two entering the school, roaming the halls and at one point, purposely dropping papers on the floor.

Police says school staff collected numerous papers with pornographic images in different places around the campus.

Amanda Austin made a preliminary court appearance Wednesday, before being released.

She's scheduled to make a first appearance in Douglas County Superior Court to hear charges against her on May 31st.

Austin was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of second-degree dealing in depictions of minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct.

A probable cause court document indicated bad blood between Austin's daughter and the former friend centered around nude photos of a boyfriend they shared at different times that was shared on social media.
