The snow continues to pileup on highways as WSDOT and county crews battle the conditions to clear roadways.  Here is an update on road closures;

US 2 from Coles Corner to the west end of Leavenworth has been re-opened. Chains required on US2 Stevens Pass except for all-wheel drive.

US 97 Blewett Pass crews continue to work on snow removal efforts. Northbound traffic will be stopped at milepost 169 and southbound will be stopped at milepost 178. Motorists should expect delays, until further notice.  Traction Tires are required

I-90 Both Directions – I-90 will remain closed all day eastbound from milepost 34 near North Bend and westbound from milepost 106 near Ellensburg due to severe weather conditions, avalanches and avalanche danger. A reopening time is still unknown. Expect lane closures and rolling slowdowns along I-90 from now until Saturday.

SR 24 Both Directions – SR 24 remains closed from the junction with SR 243 at milepost 44 to milepost to milepost 74, 5 miles Southwest of Othello, due to snowdrifts. Use alternate route. There is no current estimated time for reopening.

SR 20 North Cascades Highway –  Washington State Department of Transportation has moved barricades from Silver Star Gate above Mazama to the Early Winters Information Center on Highway 20. Traffic is now stopped at milepost 178.
