Wenatchee Valley College Knight Athletics will host a Hall of Fame induction ceremony and auction the evening of January 31st.

Inductees include former basketball star Karissa Martin (Harle), the 1971 NWAC Champion football team, and booster Dalton Thomas.

Karissa Martin (Harle) is an Eastmont grad and current Pioneer Middle School teacher that played basketball for two years at WVC, and was a 2-time All-NWAC performer and Regional Player of the Year before moving on to Central Washington University.

The 1971 WVC Knights football team, which not only won the NWAC Championship but was also nationally-ranked that year, will also be inducted.

Dalton Thomas, community booster and WVC athletics contributor, will be a special inductee.

Athletic Director Kyle Vierck said the event starts at 5:30 pm with a silent auction and happy hour. There will also be an opportunity to participate in their Follow Your Dreams Scholarship Auction, which raises scholarship money for student athletes.

"It's a tremendous event. We'll got a wonderfully catered meal. We've got tri-tip and chicken on the menu this year. It should be a terrific evening." added Vierck, "Folks can still register. We've got a few more tables that are available for sponsorship as well as individual tickets."
