Wenatchee Valley College, like many schools across the country, have moved a majority of in person classes to an online platform for the upcoming fall quarter. Professors are adapting to the remote learning after the initial adjustment in the spring and are offering avenues to make online classes fit students' needs.

"We've learned a lot in a short period of time of how to overcome barriers, whether it be technology barriers or otherwise," said Todd Treat, vice president of instruction.

In the spring, staff offered kits for students to pick up and take home as well as offering technology grants and Wi-Fi hotspots to mitigate technology gaps among students.

"I expect that will continue and staff in their own creative ways will generate more and better examples of that low technology solutions," said Treat.

A survey was administered in the spring by the college for students to provide input on challenges they faced during the transition to remote learning.
