Wenatchee Valley College announced Friday that it will continue to offer the majority of it's classes online for winter quarter due to safety concerns surrounding COVID-19.

According to the college, all lecture classes will be online, with the exception of a small number of approved, hands-on classes. Both WVC campuses will also remain closed to the public and to any students not attending the limited, in-person classes. Those who are on campus or are visiting campus are being asked to wear a mask or face covering, practice good hygiene, social distancing and to stay home is sick.

The residence hall will remain open to residents in a limited capacity, but social distancing has been implemented.

Community Relations Executive Director Libby Siebens said, "If students have any questions, or are trying to reach a staff member, one of the great ways to reach out is at Virtual Assistance. You can talk to a staff member live through Zoom video conferencing, and you can find that at wvc.edu/va."

WVC is hoping there can be more face-to-face instruction in the spring quarter, but college leadership will not make an announcement on that until 2021.
